DENN Rotary Forging Machines (Presses)
Based on the theories of incremental deformation, the DENN Rotary Forging machines, compared with those of traditional forging, require a smaller investment in tools and machinery for its users. Other benefits include better finish, higher precision, and lower energy cost.
FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF TECHNOLOGY:
– Deformations of a larger scale.
– Reduction of forces (5%–20%) due to smaller contact area and less friction.
– Greater dimensional precision (near net shape).
– Optimization of workpiece material dimensions through reduction/elimination of burrs.
– Surface finishing of higher quality thanks to gradual processing and elimination of impact cracks.
– Hardening of the material and optimized grain structure.
– No need for mechanical tooling and welding procedures.
– Technological processes with less noise and contamination (with no environmental impact and sometimes with no grease).
FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF ECONOMY:
– High flexibility (possibility to obtain new geometries through few modifications).
– Smaller investments due to the reduced size of press.
– Cheaper tooling thanks to the simplified geometry of tools.
– Fewer changes of tools.
– Fewer shaping stages (as compared to the conventional process that usually includes from 2 to 4 stages).
– Lower energy cost.
Typical Applications/ Industries:
Wheel Preforms, Automotive, Agriculture, Aerospace, Space, Defense, etc.
